Kate Brooksbank joined Restorative Solutions in 2009 as a RJ trainer and has been the Restorative Justice (RJ) Service Delivery Manager for West Yorkshire since 2018.
Kate has been a Restorative Justice Facilitator since 2008, is an advanced practitioner with the Restorative Justice Council, and has achieved a BTEC Level 3 in Restorative Practice and BTEC Level 4 in Case Supervision. Kate is a trainer and is experienced in supervising both staff and volunteers delivering RJ.
Having a Probation Officer background has allowed Kate to develop restorative approaches in a variety of different settings. Kate has experience of working on sensitive and complex cases, including harmful sexual behaviour, domestic abuse, and cases of murder.
Caz joined Restorative Solutions in February 2017 and is a Lead Practitioner covering the Bradford and Calderdale areas.
Caz has completed training in sensitive and complex RJ cases including harmful sexual behaviour and domestic abuse. She also has a BTEC level 3 in Restorative Practice and is accredited with the Restorative Justice Council as an RJ Practitioner at Intermediate level. Caz is also trained to facilitate Hate Crime and Violent Crime Awareness Courses.
Prior to joining Restorative Solutions, Caz was a Police Officer where she provided on-the-job training for new recruits and also spent a number of years as the Higher Education Liaison Officer.
Courtney began working for Restorative Solutions in 2018 and is the Lead Practitioner for Kirklees.
Courtney trained to be a facilitator in 2012 whilst studying at university. Following gaining a degree in Psychology and Sociology, she worked for the local authority doing mediation cases and neighbourhood disputes, prior to moving into the more criminal cases.
Courtney is an accredited practitioner and an accredited case supervisor, with a BTEC Level 3 in Restorative Practice, and a BTEC Level 4 in case supervision. Courtney has worked on a large variety of cases, including complex and sensitive, harmful sexual behaviour and domestic abuse.
Holly joined Restorative Solutions in January 2022 and is a Restorative Justice (RJ) Lead Practitioner/Course Coordinator for West Yorkshire. Prior to this, Holly was a RJ Volunteer for the service.
Holly leads on the delivery of the Hate Crime and Violent Crime Awareness Courses to those who have been given Conditional Cautions by West Yorkshire Police. Holly also works alongside Lead Practitioners within the RJ West Yorkshire team to both prepare for and co-facilitate RJ conferences and indirect restorative processes in a variety of settings.
Prior to working in RJ Holly has held admin and training roles but comes to Restorative Solutions with a passion for RJ.
After joining the team as a volunteer in 2018, Ranjaet started as the Service Delivery Assistant in 2020.
Ranjaet supports the team and volunteers who deliver restorative justice, with day to day admin support and calling victims/offenders for feedback after closing cases. Ranjaet assists in picking up referrals which come into the service from a variety of partners, and self-referrals.
Ranjaet has worked with the team on cases that have progressed to a full conference and has gained experience on working with Lead Practitioners on delivering Hate Crime Awareness Training.
Mick is a Service Delivery Assistant and joined the team in July 2021. Since training in restorative approaches in 2016, Mick has also volunteered as Restorative Justice Facilitator working to various levels on restorative cases with the team’s Lead Practitioners, including gaining experience in facilitating hate and violent crime awareness courses.
Mick’s role is to provide ongoing admin support to the Service Delivery Manager, staff team and volunteers delivering restorative justice. This includes receiving and recording referrals from the team’s wide range of partners and self-referrals, recording casework and collecting feedback from victims/offenders who have used the service.
Leoni began working for Restorative Solutions in 2022 when she joined the CARA West Yorkshire team as the Service Delivery assistant and CARA facilitator. In 2023, Leoni also took on the Immediate Justice Project Lead for Restorative Solutions.
Leoni is a trained RJ facilitator and has a Level 3 in Health and Social care with a level 2 in counselling skills. Leoni has also undertaken various training courses in Domestic Abuse, suicide prevention and Mental Health awareness. Leoni is also a qualified Mental Health First Aider.
Karen started working for Restorative Solutions in July 2023 as part of the Immediate Justice Pilot, and is the Anti-Social Behaviour Awareness Course Co-Ordinator.
Prior to taking on this role, Karen has been a Restorative Justice Volunteer Practitioner since 2016. Karen has facilitated sensitive and complex cases and continues to be involved in facilitating restorative processes.
